S2 has taken the UPS Worldship software's flexible importing and exporting tools and created a real-time, integrated solution into the Baan ERP system. Typically you'll find a shipping clerk entering order information into their UPS Worldship system for each order they need to ship. This can be quite time consuming and is prone to user errors. This step is just one of many needed to actually ship the product through Baan, each one taking several minutes to complete. Here at S2, we've developed a series of custom Baan programs along with an executable middleware application that will both load new Baan orders into the UPS Worldship system as well as load the UPS tracking number (and any other configurable information that UPS provides) into Baan AND automatically process the order through Baan providing the shipper with any necessary shipping paperwork almost instantaneously! A process that used to take up to 10 minutes per order, maybe longer in some cases, can now be executed in roughly 1 minute.
